Dr. Ira Thorla is one of the founders of Louisiana Dermatology Associates in Baton Rouge, LA and has been practicing in the area since 1999. He completed both medical school and his residency at LSU’s School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA.

A testament to his academic achievement and passion, Dr. Thorla was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a student, and is now a faculty member for the LSU Department of Dermatology Residency Program. Dr. Thorla specializes in surgical, cosmetic and general dermatology and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dedicated to remaining up to date on developments in his field, Dr. Thorla became part of the DelRicht Research team to join the efforts to find new and effective therapies for patients, and has successfully established his practice as a trusted resource in the community for innovation and the discovery of cutting edge treatments.
